Driving School Chmiel

I am writing this review after about 6 years, when I took driving lessons at Nobe Driving School, specifically with instructor Roman Chmiel. I don't want to unnecessarily criticize Nobe Driving School as a whole, I believe they have great instructors there today. Unfortunately, my experience with Mr. Chmiel was so significant that it stayed in my stomach for years. The approach during the training was, in my opinion, completely unprofessional. Every mistake was followed by insults, put-downs and insinuations, instead of a normal explanation. Bonus points for extra stress. There was also underestimation based on your studies. God forbid, if you drove your Honda into a canal or got closer to the curb than Mr. Chmiel liked. That was the end of the world. During the training, the car was also changed several times, the last time just before the exams. Ideal. As a young high school student, I didn't have much courage to speak up at the time. After repeated comments that I would never do it again, I left the driving school for another one, where the approach was completely different. I took the test there for the first time and today I have been driving for the fifth year, thousands of kilometers in a row. Probably a miracle. When I read other reviews today, it seems to me that Mr. Chmiel is quite selective about who he will treat as an instructor and who as anything else. I will leave the reasons open. 🙂 Anyway, I say for myself that if you want a mental toughness test, try it. And if Mr. Chmiel tells you that you will never be a driver, don't believe it.

I can definitely recommend this driving school. Even though the wait for the first ride was a bit longer, I really appreciated the opportunity to plan the entire training via the app. Also the friendly approach and patience of Mr. Chmiel. In the end, I passed the exams on the first try. So thank you again!

After today's successful exams, I can do nothing but highly recommend this driving school. Mr. Chmiel is a really nice guy and the entire training took place in a very friendly atmosphere. I was able to plan the entire training according to my time options, and Mr. Chmiel tried his best to meet all the requirements, including fitness rides, etc. All of this significantly contributed to the successful passing of the final exam.

I had an absolutely great time driving with Mr. Chmiel! 🚗 The condition of the car and the teacher's approach to driving lessons were top notch. I really enjoyed every ride and looked forward to it - I definitely didn't go out of compulsion, as was the case at another driving school in the city. Mr. Chmiel explained everything patiently, gave me a lot of useful information and advice - not only about driving itself, but also about car control and road safety. He is calm, polite, always in a good mood and never stresses unnecessarily, even if something goes wrong. Thanks to his approach, today I can almost master the gearshift like an automatic 😄 and for that I owe him a big thank you. There should be more instructors like that! I can definitely recommend the driving school with Mr. Chmiel with all ten.

Mr. Roman is an amazing, likeable, cheerful and empathetic person. He explains everything clearly and practically. I am grateful for his great approach. I couldn't have found a better driving school and he has his nerves with us! I recommend this driving school 💯. Thank you very much.

I would like to thank Mr. Chmiel for his great guidance during the driving lessons 🥹. It was only thanks to him that I passed my driving test – the first time! 🚗 The teacher is incredibly patient, kind, funny and most importantly, he really teaches. If you listen to what he says, you can do absolutely anything. I had been to another driving school before and felt like I simply didn’t have what it took. But with Mr. Chmiel, I regained my confidence behind the wheel and successfully passed my exams 😊. I definitely recommend it to everyone – the best driving school! 🙌

In my opinion, Mr. Chmiel is more than up to the mark in terms of his complete satisfaction, his actions, his approach, his ability to teach someone. I have taken an express course and I passed it on the first try, all you need to do is want to and take the teacher's words seriously and you don't have to worry about long learning sessions. Negative experience with instructor Roman Chmiel (formerly Autoškola Nobe, Havířov) I would like to share my very unpleasant experience with the instructor Mr. Roman Chmiel, who previously worked at the Nobe driving school in Havířov. The entire course of instruction was extremely stressful for me, mainly because of his attitude. Instead of supporting and guiding me, Mr. Chmiel repeatedly underestimated and demotivated me. More than once, he told me that I “can’t do it”, which completely took away my confidence behind the wheel. He reacted inappropriately to every mistake – he grabbed my head, shook it theatrically from side to side, and only after a few seconds did he tell me what was wrong. Instead of immediate and constructive feedback, I left each ride with even greater uncertainty. The result was that I failed the driving school – not because of a lack of effort, but because I didn’t feel safe, calm or motivated while driving. I find this approach from an instructor to be completely inappropriate and should have no place in any driving school. A new driver needs patience, guidance and space to learn, not ridicule and stress. I wish I hadn't had this experience and I recommend future students to choose very carefully who they go to driving school with.

Driving school in Ostrava = a complete disaster (four letters in the name starting with N with nationwide reach). On the other hand, Autoškola Chmiel was a different format. Although it was a repetition of the entire driving school, since I "failed" 3 times in the final tests with the commissioner, under the guidance of Mr. Roman Chmiel I learned to drive in a new and safer way. Everything was explained to me. It is true that I made some mistakes during the tests, sometimes it was "on my nerves", but the result was worth it. The test at the new driving school was successful the first time. His professional approach, sometimes "familiar" gave me great energy and self-confidence behind the wheel. The entire organization at this driving school is excellent. No overgrown apparatus, where the right hand does not know what the left is doing, but one single person who communicates with you, plans, drives. If only there were more teachers and driving schools like this. In short: WANT TO TAKE DRIVING SCHOOL? CHOOSE THIS ONE. FOLLOW THE TEACHER'S ADVICE AND INSTRUCTIONS AND BELIEVE THAT YOU HAVE A DRIVER'S LICENSE IN YOUR POCKET WITHOUT STRESS AND UNNECESSARY EXPENSES.
