Driving school KAPR

As a foreigner navigating the Czech Republic’s driving license process, I knew it wouldn’t be easy, especially with most driving schools operating only in Czech. I was searching high and low for an English-friendly, expat-friendly driving school, and thanks to recommendations from the expat community, I found Kapr Driving School. I took my driving lessons with Jan, a man of few words but with a strong focus on getting you across the finish line. He’s serious about teaching, but now and then, you’ll catch him chatting and lightening the mood. His no-nonsense, efficient approach worked wonders for me. We also had a great translator, Aleš Bajgar, whose support was invaluable. He was brought in to assist with the process, and he did an excellent job. He translated everything from Czech to English seamlessly, making the entire experience much smoother and less stressful. Today I passed both my theory and practical exams on the first try, something I didn’t think was possible when I first imagined this journey. It wasn’t easy, but with the right support, it was absolutely doable. If you’re a foreigner or an expat looking for a solid driving school that understands your needs, I wholeheartedly recommend Kapr Driving School. If I had to do this all over again, I’d still choose them. Go Kapr, we are not eating you for Christmas! 😄

Based on Google reviews, I was looking for friendly and individual approach from this driving school, but I did not found it here unfortunately and I did not learned to drive. It was not worth the cost. There are diferent driving shools for English speakers in Ostrava which offer you more for less money and actualy learn you to drive and prepare you for final exam. The 2 points for theory classes which were fine.

I highly recommend this school to everyone, especially to foreigners who are searching for an English speaker instructor. Jan Kimla is a great instructor. 👏👏

I can only recommend the Kapr Driving School in Ostrava! I passed the exam the first time mainly thanks to the great instructors – Mr. Honza and Mr. Kamil. They were always helpful and calm, they explained everything clearly and the lessons took place in a relaxed atmosphere. The fun lectures with relevant examples also helped me to remember important things easily. The human approach and professionalism – thank you very much!
