I cannot recommend this driving school. I graduated 2 years ago but have not yet written a review. Instructor Polanecký, to whom I was assigned after several rides on a simulator with another instructor, never really taught me anything, and the rides with him were full of extremely arrogant, rude, and insulting personal remarks from the first moment to the end. The only thing he was capable of doing was scolding me when I did something wrong - but an explanation of what to do usually did not come. More than once he contradicted himself in his insults, apparently just to have something to yell at me for. As an example, I will give a situation from my SECOND ride with him in traffic, when I, very nervous, asked him when approaching a roundabout if he could repeat to me where to go next. He didn't answer me, we went around a roundabout once and he started swearing at me "You're not listening to me, are you? Do you think you can do everything better, that I won't teach you anything? That I can go to hell, and you can drive here however you want, wherever you want?" (This is not a direct quote, I'm just stating what I remember). In response to this, I replied that perhaps nothing had happened and he could have answered me normally, after which he stopped me at the gas station and cursed at me for several minutes. I somehow finished the rides with him, since they had already been paid for, and because I was afraid to ask for a refund or a change of instructor. The highlight, however, was the theoretical tests, when they sent me to the testing center three hours early, which all of us involved found out on the spot. After waiting for three hours, I found out that Polanecký had crossed me off the list without my knowledge and I had waited in vain, because I couldn't write the tests for this reason. None of the instructors admitted guilt or apologized. I passed the test on the second attempt and have been driving happily and responsibly for two years now without constant swearing in my right ear, and I have learned everything I was supposed to learn in a driving school. So it was really just a waste of money and damage to my mental health. Avoid ÚAMK by all means.

Great driving school that places great emphasis on theory. I had Mr. Pacák as my instructor and I have nothing but praise for him. I don't understand some of the reviews, but from my point of view I can highly recommend it.

I did driving school a year and a half ago. Theory is good, but it would be better to focus on real situations, but there is not enough time. Health science - they say the basics, it would also require practical exercises. The simulator - terrible, because you get into a car that has pedals completely different. I drove with Mr. Sekanina and did fitness rides with Mr. Kunc. Mr. Sekanina is calm, teaches long-distance parking, and takes you to the southern junction. Mr. Kunc is great at teaching crisis situations and eliminating fear and uncertainty. They taught me how to drive a car. I needed another year for driving skills. And depending on what people sometimes show on the roads, I would recommend driving school or fitness rides for 10 years, maybe even 5.

Everything I've read here is true. A simulator from the year zero and similar things. The whole theory is read from a presentation by an old guy who also has racist comments and reads in a monotonous voice that would put an elephant to sleep.
They sometimes cancel the rides on their own and don't even suggest an alternative date. If you don't call them yourself, they don't even bat an eyelid. During the rides, the instructor was vulgar and pulled my steering wheel when I was driving a small curve into a curve at an intersection. He kept giving me excessive gas and when we exceeded the speed limit he yelled that I was driving like a madman. He didn't explain anything to me, he just yelled at me. I've been doing my driver's license for half a year and avoid this driving school at all costs. I don't recommend it.

UAMK is an excellent driving school for me. Today (24.5.23), although on the second attempt, I finished the exams and got the opportunity to own a driver's license. The teachers are great, there are more elderly teachers here. And I had the honor of driving with the teacher Mr. P. . He is a very cruel and strict teacher and even if it may not seem like it to someone, he is also very nice and nice, but most importantly he taught me to drive properly so that I can pass the practical tests. I am extremely grateful to him for that.
But there are always many things that could be better, the fact that the teachers are like this and that is a specific thing in itself, some will make you sleep more and some will annoy you, but spending that time there, especially for the price, which is clearly one of the pluses, is worth it.
Thank you UAMK and I highly recommend the driving school with confidence

Horrible experience. I had to stop taking lessons at this driving school after endless hours of theory classes and they were unable to give me a test date closer than 2 months later, and I also had to sit out 2 hours on a non-functional simulator.
The guy is arrogant, unpleasant, doesn't like to communicate, and only returned my money after threatening to take legal action. They only rob students who don't know that things are different elsewhere.
I lost about half a year at this driving school on theory classes (the old man read out a presentation for 2 hours and made racist remarks), a few hours on a non-functional simulator, and arguing about getting my money back for not being able to give me test dates.
For comparison, at a competitor, I completed the entire driving school, including theory, simulator, tests, and exams, in 5 weeks for the same money.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ÚAMK Driving School!!!
Mr. Pacák guided us through the theory and prepared us for possible situations. I then took the driving lessons with him, always at the agreed time without changes or shortening. If you don't understand something or want to repeat it, he will gladly repeat it with you without any hints until you are sure about the given issue (e.g. intersections).
I completed the driving school in about 2.5 months. I passed the theory and final driving exams the first time. I will continue to recommend the driving school.
Thank you to ÚAMK Driving School and especially Mr. Pacák.

I finished driving school this October 2019. It takes unnecessarily long because they have too many people and too few teachers. I found the first hours of classroom instruction quite unnecessary, but someone might appreciate them. The subsequent driving lessons were ok, the teachers quite experienced and professional. But arranging a driving/simulator lesson, especially with Mr. Kunce, is incomprehensibly difficult (they don't have time for you). On the other hand, I appreciate Mr. Kunce's participation in electronic tests - without confusion, stress. I was almost literally kept in the driving school by teacher Brynych, with whom I drove most of the lessons and I really appreciate his approach and willingness to arrange lessons. :)
But not everyone is as lucky as I am. I would recommend another driving school where you know it will be better.

If you're thinking about where to take a driving school, avoid UAMK.
Eight endless months, with driving lessons every 14 days. Changing cars, instructors (who are all retired... one of them, for example, thought it was a good way to teach me that he constantly touched the steering wheel and pedals, another made me totally disgusted with driving with constant comments about how bad I was, but never told me how to do it properly), several cancellations of lessons on their part. Disaster. After the final driving test (which 2 people out of 10 participants took), they were unable to provide me with a conditioning drive before the make-up date (or rather, it was cancelled the night before, not to mention that I had prepaid this lesson as part of the 28 mandatory ones, but the instructor advised me to "keep it just in case I failed"). No effort at all on their part to resolve the situation... My patience ran out and I transferred to another school. Thanks to this, I managed to regain my lost self-confidence and finish my driving test in peace. They taught me more in those few conditioning rides than UAMK did in 8 months. I do not recommend it.
