I don't normally write reviews, but for the people who decide to go to this driving school, I have to.
Theory classes are held in a small room where everyone is crammed in like sardines, and Mr. Provaznik's guidance is rather boring and lengthy (two hours in a row in the afternoon) and doesn't really give you anything.
As for the rides, I have experience with Mr. Kramář and Prokeš. I was quite satisfied with Mr. Kramář - he tried to explain everything to me, he was patient and calm. I didn't mind at all that he had snacks during the rides, but I was quite shocked when he threw the snack wrapper out the window.
Mr. Prokeš is a chapter in itself - he can be very unpleasant, arrogant, and his expressions and eye rolls definitely don't add to your self-confidence. I'd rather not even talk about the fact that he was looking at his phone when I was driving uphill at an intersection. Driving with him was hell for me. Overall, this was my fifth drive and before that I drove another car that had a clutch that would engage. When my car stalled a few times when starting off, I was told that I was probably an "anti-talent" and that I was starting off poorly on purpose. After that, I was so out of touch with Mr. Prokeš and stressed out that I didn't even know which side was left and which was right.
As for the trip planning system, I was very satisfied - I always found a free date that suited me. The prices at this driving school are quite a big deal - 600 CZK for a repeated driving test and 1,200 CZK for one additional drive. The only person I can find fault with is the lady in the office. She is very nice, helpful and happy to help with everything.
If I were Mr. Pelikán, I would think about what kind of people I actually employ, because there is more than just one bad review about Mr. Prokeš. Someone like that simply should not work with people who are learning something completely new and need to be treated calmly and patiently.
Finally, a note about the exam - if you are in your twenties, expect to fail the exam on the first try (they say that the younger you are, the less likely you are to pass the exam on the first try). The municipality and the driving school just want to line their pockets. I passed the driving test on the second try. The first time I was told that I did not look in the rearview mirror several times, which was not true (and unfortunately I am not alone in this - I have heard similar experiences from several people). The municipality earned another 400 CZK for repeating the exam and the driving school was certainly happy for the additional income.
If you choose this driving school, read the reviews carefully so you know which instructor to choose and which one to avoid completely.

Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the driving school. I don't like to name names in reviews, so I'll write about all the instructors in general. I really didn't like driving with most of them. They were downright nervous, arrogant, and at the first failure they'll immediately hysterically stomp on your pedal. The driving lessons really didn't do anything for me. The cars have such loose gear levers (probably from the students) that you had to really lean on them to shift gears. I understand that the students are giving it a hard time, but for that money they can at least fix it a little. The driving school is also quite expensive (purchased a ride of 1200.-) retake exam 600 plus 400 at the Magistrat. Plus fees for transferring to another driving school 500?! You give them the five hundred just for the lady in the office rummaging in a drawer and handing you a piece of paper, you have to physically transfer it to the driving school.
The theoretical teaching spaces are also cramped, poorly ventilated and when they show you something through a projector during theoretical lessons, it is truly terrifying for people who wear glasses (the room is too small for the projector).
I switched to another driving school and compared to this experience it was absolutely different.

You can never please everyone in life. My experience with the Pelikán driving school was quite excellent. Due to the points I had to repeat the driving school, there was a professional approach and I passed the exams just fine. A person has to learn and everything depends on the personal approach from each side. During every ride I paid attention to the traffic and not if the instructor had a strange look or was joking. If someone is a jerk and can't drive, I understand...
I can recommend it from my experience.

First attempt exam (foreigner), Kramář is great, sometimes a little nervous in training but the years have taken their toll. I haven't tried other instructors but I was satisfied with Kramář from the beginning, he will explain if you don't understand something, he will explain again, and I don't know why people here say he is arrogant or something, I would recommend him if you are not afraid of being yelled at or pressured a bit, it is an old approach but a good one. I don't recommend going for theory, you can buy a book there at most but you can get one anywhere too (the book is useless, take the tests, ask the AI if you don't understand something, it's just a different time) Otherwise I am satisfied. I recommend

A driving school where the owner or employees park like s**t, slowly preventing other vehicles from leaving, they have no business teaching.
I understand that they want to advertise, but if I'm trying to do that, I'll park normally! I'm not surprised that a bunch of people park exactly the same way when they see such a "pattern". Or the second option is, the people in question live nearby (I highly doubt it, I've only seen them there twice in X years) and are too lazy to park further away, as they would have to take more steps, which would obviously be fatal for them.

My experience with this driving school mostly disappointed my expectations. Mr. Provazník, who taught us theory, seemed to me more like he was teaching us as a punishment, he explains things quite complicatedly and it was often very difficult to keep our attention. As for driving, the teaching of some instructors was downright pathetic. Instead of teaching me how to actually work with the pedals, Mr. Kramář pedaled the pedals himself, he mostly said nothing about driving and spent most of the time that should have been devoted to driving taking care of his own affairs - I drove with him 3 times and each time he stayed for at least 15 minutes taking care of something of his own. Mr. Prokeš, with his attitude, seemed to me to be a very restless and even quite aggressive driving instructor. On my third ride, when I had to start driving uphill at an intersection and at that time I still had no idea how to do it, because no one had taught me how to do it yet, Mr. Prokeš was on the phone at that moment and didn't focus on me at all and completely let me do it. When he finished talking on the phone, I received an unpleasant beating about my starting. Even though I told him that no one had taught me how to do it and I didn't know what to do, I received another verbal beating that I should have known how to do it a long time ago. Mr. Provazník's approach during the rides was not much different from the approach during the theory lessons - that is, that he was there with me as a punishment. I had my very first ride with him at the training ground, during which Mr. Provazník managed to make me feel very guilty that I couldn't drive on my FIRST ride. The whole approach was in the spirit that I should have known and been able to do everything a long time ago. In case I didn't succeed in something, instead of explaining why I didn't succeed, I was asked WHY I was doing it wrong on my FIRST ride. That really threw me off at first. The overall attitude of these three instructors is very sad. Together, I rode half of my rides with them and the result of my knowledge was literally zero. Every ride I rode with one of these instructors, I basically didn't even know what I was doing, every time it was more like either it will work or I'll stomp on the pedals. But that all changed when I started riding with Mr. Čelechovský. His approach is absolutely incomparable to the approach of the above-mentioned instructors. Mr. Čelechovský has incredible patience, you can see his effort to convey something to his students and, most importantly, to EXPLAIN. He really devoted himself to me 100%, every time I didn't understand something, he calmly explained everything to me, drove me through the places that were causing me problems as many times as needed and all with complete calm. Only thanks to him did I learn how to actually control the car and how to behave in traffic, because he repeated everything with me from the basics, because the previous drives were suffering for me, from which I took nothing away. If it weren't for him, I probably would never have finished this driving school. A big thank you goes to him. It's sad that a driving school with such a big name has only one instructor who can really call himself an instructor.

Unfortunately, my experience with Autoškola Pelikán was not what I expected from the best driving school in Brno. During one of the first rides, the instructor (Mr. Prokeš) constantly shouted at me, criticized my every mistake and made inappropriate comments, which caused me unnecessary stress. Instead of support, patient guidance and a professional approach, I was met with a very unprofessional approach (poking, inappropriate language (e.g. the teacher told me when he saw that my hands were sweating: I HOPE IT WILL NOT BE WET UNDER YOU)). An approach that I would definitely not expect from a teacher at such a driving school.
I have had mostly good experiences with the rest of the teachers. Especially with Mr. Čelechovský, who always remained calm, even when I made a beginner's mistake in a more advanced phase of my training.
If it were not for my experience with the first teacher, my rating would probably be higher (4/5).
Overall, I recommend the driving school, but the attitude of one of the teachers must change significantly if the driving school wants to maintain its status as "the best driving school in Brno."

Kramář is a total phlegmatic who will say something about driving here and there, but will not explain why it is done that way.
Ropezník is an unstable individual, instead of giving advice, he chases his ego at you for every mistake you make.
The only instructor, Čelachovský, tries to teach something realistically and has no need to unnecessarily stress the students. If I had chosen him at the beginning, maybe I would not have needed to write a negative review.
For the final exam, you will be given Master Ropezník's car, which you will not be used to unless you drive directly with him. He will also claim that there is no difference in cars. However, there is a question on this right in the tests that refutes this claim.
They kicked me out of the final exam without me having violated any regulation or law. The reason given by Commissioner Květoslav was that he did not feel safe with me in the car.
If you choose this driving school, drive with Mr. Čelachovský, because out of these 3 he is the only one who will teach you something without unnecessary negative comments.
Driving at night, driving in the morning, the worst is with Pelikán 😌

I have a great experience with this driving school. I did almost all my driving with Mr. Kramář, and I liked his approach - such a calm man, he explained everything, even several times. He practiced parking with me a lot, which helped me with the closings. I also liked the approach of the secretary, she was very nice and helpful. I had one driving with Mr. Provazník, and that was also great. He was helpful, and he went through the gaps with me that I was not yet sure about, such as starting uphill. I highly recommend this driving school, they have a human and personal approach😊

I passed the exams on the first try, thanks to Mr. Čelechovský, he always maintained professionalism and a cool head. He is a BOSS. I recommend him as an instructor.
